Maurice is raised by his father, Johnny Pittman Jr., who has good intentions of raising his son in a righteous manner, but the path becomes a tail spin of turbulent times. Maurice is forced to learn the streets, dope-fiend schemes and accept the neglect by family members. He becomes a co-dependent of his father’s addiction to the streets, drugs, women and money spending. When his father’s transgressions catches up with him, Maurice is left alone and unguided; relying on the dark streets of Chocolate City for comfort. During his journey, he’s faced with numerous adversities and obstacles. This story carries you through some of the roughest streets of Washington, DC through the eyes of a child who’s raised in the shadow of an addict.
